RbA of the Capital Region works to alleviate veteran homelessness

The strength of Renewal by Andersen is our people, and the team in the Capital Region is proving that once again.

In February, RbA Capital Region partnered with the Operation Renewed Hope Foundation, which works to end homelessness among veterans by providing quality housing. Every year, ORHF assists more than 100 veterans and their families in the DC metro area.

The idea to partner with ORHF came from Yetta Rushford, an RbA design consultant. His son is in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he heard about ORHF from watching the news. After hearing about the foundation, Rushford knew right away that he wanted to help.

"We're so happy to be involved," says Rushford.

The renovated home will be life-changing for the family moving in, because previously they had been living in a vehicle. 

"We're just so appreciative of all of the hard work that's been put into this home," says LTC Deborah Snyder, President and CEO of Operation Renewed Hope Foundation.
