RbA of Pittsburgh Hosts Food Drive

The team at Renewal by Andersen of Pittsburgh is partnering with the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to hold a six-week food drive at a local grocery chain.

After seeing the devastating impact COVID-19 was having on the greater Pittsburgh community, team leaders at the RbA locations in Canonsburg and Monroeville decided they needed to give back and coordinated the drive.

March through April 24, 2021, customers at Shop n' Save locations in the greater Pittsburgh area were greeted by RbA team members who are staffing the table. Shoppers received a flyer with recommended donations, picked up items as they completed their own shopping list, checked out, and then dropped off their donations as they were leaving the store.

"It's been a great opportunity to show that we can make a difference within the community by helping those in need," says Brian Wininger, Canvassing Manager for Renewal by Andersen of Pittsburgh.

The location is saw a tremendous response to its food drive--as of March 16, the team had collected 1,481 pounds of donations.

"The generosity we’ve seen from the people of Pittsburgh has been overwhelming. Its been inspiring and we’re incredibly thankful for all the donations," says Wininger.
