Renewal by Andersen has Two Reasons to Celebrate
On the verge of the 20th anniversary of opening our first retail location, we are also celebrating a building expansion which will increase the size of our corporate office and manufacturing facility in Cottage Grove, Minn., by more than 50 percent. We currently have over 600 employees at the facility and plan to add more than 200 new office and manufacturing jobs when this expansion is complete.
Renewal by Andersen President, Paul Delahunt, led the groundbreaking ceremony by thanking employees, without whom “none of this would be possible,” he said. Jay Lund, CEO of Andersen Corporation, Renewal by Andersen’s parent company, welcomed the mayor of Cottage Grove, Myron Bailey and other dignitaries.
Renewal by Andersen was created 20 years ago as a start-up within Andersen Corporation, tasked with creating the best window replacement experience in the industry. Our business model is different from the rest of the Andersen enterprise, selling direct to the homeowner and custom-making every window to the exact specifications of each home. In fact, every Renewal by Andersen® window ships with the homeowner’s name on it because every window is unique.
Construction will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in March 2016. “We are experiencing strong growth and demand for our windows and that is why we are here today,” Delahunt said. “It’s an exciting time at Renewal by Andersen and I’m proud to be a part of it.” And with that, they pitched the shovels into the ground to begin our next 20 years.
